Open and close the theatre. Help patrons with ticketing issues, ensuring that the start and end of a show run smoothly. Serve drinks and keep inventory of the bar. Clean the building’s communal spaces. Guarantee that the theatre is a positive, safe, and accessible space for all patrons.

Help patrons with ticketing issues  in person and over the phone, for multiple shows and venues at once. Serve drinks and keep inventory of the bar. Ensure a positive theatre-going experience for all patrons, from purchase to show day.

SummerWorks Festival, Toronto ON—Front of House

AUGUST 2025

 

Set up and take down front of house stations at numerous venues across the city, ushering in various different shows. Opening the house in coordination with the venue staff and artistic team. Train volunteers and make sure shows begin on time.

Museum of Toronto “52 Live”, Toronto ON—Front of House Guide

JUNE 2025

Lead a group of audience members through the Toronto Archives, coordinating with technical crew to ensure smooth transitions to different rooms for the various performances. Inform viewers about the show and the history of the archives.

Training

Comedy Bar, Toronto ON— Intro to Standup Comedy

Perform a new 3-minute set every week. Incorporate feedback, edit, and workshop a 5-minute set for showcase performance with invited audience.

Wrote a new comedy sketch every week and read sketches with classmates. Learned about the basic components of sketch comedy and studied sketch history.

Fringe Festival, Toronto ON— TENT Emerging Producers Program

Learn essential skills for independent theatre production in Toronto. Along with 9 other emerging theatre-makers, engage in seminars about grant writing, budgeting, accessibility, immersive theatre, artistic directing, and more given by accomplished artists and administrators. Connect with future collaborators and mentors through workshops.

Assist in preparing Laura Ramoso’s “CALM DOWN” Tour during the work in progress show run in Toronto. Take notes during rehearsals and shows, keeping scripts up to date and preparing touring materials such as the final tech script, lighting cue sheet, and props and costume breakdown.

Work on the Fringe Festival show: The Woman who Ate Falafel. Keeping track of cues in rehearsal and making the final cue sheet, assisting in set up and strike for all performances. Work backstage managing props and costumes and facilitating transitions during shows.

Pre-Production: Organize shoot schedules and send out call sheets, consult with the team on hiring, script, and directing decisions. Find and reserve shooting locations and equipment.​
